The sausages and I went on our semi-annual Estes Park trip. This time, we had to go on the ghost hunt. Aside from the gaming, drinking, and eating in the cabin, the paranormal hunt was very necessary to get everyone up and out.

From playing Super Mario on the Wii to describing words on Catch Phrase, it was choatic. I lost my voice. There’s now so many inside jokes from just that day. A couple guys in particular, were targeted and made fun of. Fat boy got the phrase “ignorance is bliss.” He had no clue on how to describe it so he decided to say “I am ‘blank.’” Of course, we filled it in with gay, fat, ugly, etc. (we still love you fat boy). That night, we had a grand dinner which included 16oz+ steak, sashimi, shrimps, and sausages with grilled onions. It was an orgasm in my mouth.

The next day was the ghost lectures and actual ghost hunt. Most of the guys and I could only make it through one of the lectures since all of us were sleeping near the back of the room. We went back to the cabin and relaxed until the actual ghost hunt. Oh, we decided to do the grape eating contest… I’ll let the video do the talking.

Dinner that night was at Smokin’ Daves BBQ restaurant. The amount of meat was unbearable especially when you get the triple platter. It was delicious and satisfying. Too bad I couldn’t finish everything. My buddy, Jeff, took care of the rest.

Once 8 ‘o clock rolls around, we all drove to the Stanley Hotel ready to get raped by some ghosts. We were split into groups of 12 or 13. Of course, everyone knew all the “asians” were in a group. The president suite was the first location. We didn’t experience much there though the flashlight did flicker here and there. For the most part, everything was a little bit sketch. We did, however, experienced some activities in room 1302. Fat boy felt a tap on his head twice, Hung’s book fell over, and Huy felt a vibration on the bed multiple times. The last part of the ghost hunt really spooked everyone. In the concert hall, we went down to what used to be Lucy’s room. As everyone got into the room, the door started moving on its own and closes. We all screamed like a group of scared little girls as the paranormal investigator opens the door and tries to talk to the spirit. He asked her to do it again, and sure enough, the door closes one more time. The door is a little bit sketchy since it is a spring-loaded hinge. We finished our tour and were relieved (at least I was). Though I’m not sure if $80 was worth it since I don’t I experienced enough paranormal activities to justify that price.

Overall, the trip was once again, a good break. I would consider going again but maybe in the summer this time so we get to experience the actual outdoor activities that makes Estes Park a tourist attraction.

My group of friends and I decided to go up to Estes Park for the weekend. We booked a cabin with enough beds for all of us. The reason for the trip is to take a break and have a sausage fest (that means no girls).

We also decided to participate in the ghost hunt at the Stanley Hotel. Supposedly, it’s haunted and I am deathly afraid of ghost. This will be interesting.

I created a list of things for me to pack below.

I submitted one of my FOB stories to mydadisafob.com but I doubt it will be posted so I rather post it here instead.

When I was 8 or 9 years old, I would go with my dad on the weekend to the Mile High Flea Market to purchase fruits and vegetables for his catering business. One time, he was very thirsty and asked me to go purchase a soda for him. Here is how the conversation went down…

Dad: Go buy me a drink.
Cuong: What do you want?
Dad: a Su-pris.
Cuong: Huh?
Dad: I want a su-pris.
Cuong: Surprise? uhh. ok.

(I went up to the counter and talked to the gentlemen selling drinks)

Man: What can I get for you today?
Cuong: Can I get a surprise?
Man (smiling and giggling then laughing): What did you want again?
Cuong: Nevermind.

(Going back to my dad)

Dad: Where is my drink?
Cuong: They ran out.

(I realized afterwards that he meant to say Sprite but I just didn’t understand at the time being. FML)

Yes, I have horrible photochopping skills.
